Ricky Greenwald, PsyD, is the founder and executive director of Trauma Institute & Child Trauma Institute. He was previously on the faculty of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, is an Affiliate Professor at the SUNY Buffalo School of Social Work, and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He is the author of numerous professional articles as well as several books. His work has been translated into over a dozen languages. Dr. Greenwald developed many techniques used by EMDR child therapists, and his comprehensive EMDR training model has been emulated internationally. He also developed Progressive Counting and the Fairy Tale phase model of trauma treatment, and is a leading expert and pioneer in the flash technique as well as intensive trauma-focused therapy.

Cindy Arnold, LCMHC, CFRC

Cindy Arnold, LCMHC, CFRC, is a licensed professional counselor since 2010. She works with children, teens, and adults, and specializes in physical, emotional, sexual trauma, childhood trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, military and first responders. She is a PC instructor and EMDR Consultant and Instructor. 

Ann Beckley-Forest, LCSW-R, RPT

Ann Beckley-Forest, LCSW, RPT-S, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Buffalo, NY and a  Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy  She is a supervisor and approved provider of play therapy continuing education through the Association for Play Therapy.  She is certified in EMDR therapy, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, an EMDR therapy trainer and a faculty member of the Child Trauma Institute.  Her specialties include attachment and child and adolescent trauma, and she also works with adult survivors.  She provides consultation in person and remotely, and gives trainings locally and internationally. Her primary interest is in the intersection of play therapy and EMDR and has published on this topic including as a contributing author and co-editor of EMDR with Children in the Play Therapy Room: An Integrated Approach .

Erika Brosig, LCSW, CTTS, is the COO at a sexual assault and domestic violence center in western Pennsylvania, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a faculty member of TICTI. She has over 20 years of experience working exclusively with survivors of violence. She is recognized as a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist (CTTS), an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDR Trainer. She authored a chapter in the book Child Sexual Abuse: Practical Approaches to Prevention and Intervention entitled “Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse: Living with the Effects of a Disrupted Childhood”. A survivor of sexual abuse, she has dedicated her career to creating integrative healing spaces for other survivors.

Rosemary L. Burns, MA, LPE-I, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Psychological Examiner-Independent in the state of Arkansas, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has been a mental health care provider since 2002 and has worked in various settings. Currently, Rosemary owns a private practice in Arkansas where she specializes in trauma-informed care and EMDR. She is an EMDRIA-approved EMDR certified clinician, consultant, and trainer, offering both in person and online trainings. Rosemary enjoys working with complex trauma and ego states.

Lori

Lori Chiarmonte, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who works as a Clinical Supervisor at an outpatient mental health clinic in Buffalo, NY. Lori is certified in PC through TICTI and EMDR through EMDRIA. She provides consultation for both modalities, as well as assists with trainings. Lori has experience working with all populations and ages, but specializes in working with adolescents. She has additional training in DBT, dissociation and attachment.   

Elizabeth Davis, MFA, MS, LCAT, ATR-BC

Elizabeth Davis, MFA, MS, LCAT, ATR-BC, is a board certified and a state licensed art therapist since 2004. She works with children, teens, and adults, and specializes in trauma, loss, foster care, child trauma, and attachment trauma. She is an EMDR instructor and consultant, the developer of our Attachment & Dissociation training program, and a PC consultant in training.

Brooke Eaton, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and co-founder of Pittsburgh Center for Integrative Therapy in Pittsburgh, PA. She is certified in EMDR therapy, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, an EMDR therapy trainer and a faculty member of TICTI. Her specializations include working with complex trauma and dissociation across the lifespan. She integrates her training in Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to provide Integrative EMDR Intensives for PCIT, and in a retreat style format through Anchored Integrative Wellness in Barbados.

Lindsay Farrar, LMHC

Lindsay Farrar, LMHC, has been a licensed mental health counselor since 2009. She has provided counseling in both English and Spanish at a large urban non-profit, has taught at the graduate level about family violence, and has published work about language translation in Brazil. Lindsay is on the TICTI staff. Lindsay is an EMDR consultant and instructor as well as a PC consultant and instructor.

Jessica Horder, MS, LMHC

Jessica Horder, MS, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years’ experience counseling individuals and families. She is certified in EMDR therapy, an EMDRIA approved consultant, and assists on Attachment & Dissociation Trainings as well as EMDR trainings. She is the Director of Consultation Services for TICTI. She is also intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and provides training and consultation on incorporating DBT skills into the treatment of complex trauma.

Elisabeth Jerome

Elisabeth Jerome, Ph.D, is a licensed clinical psychologist and director of an integrated behavioral healthcare practice in Fredericksburg, VA. She is an EMDR certified clinician, an EMDRIA approved consultant, and an EMDR faculty trainer with TICTI. She has over 15 years postdoctoral experience working with children, adults, couples and families, and specializes in working with developmental and complex trauma, parenting stress, and attachment/relationship issues.

Kymberly-Lasser-Chere

Kymberly Lasser-Chere, PhD, LPCC, RYT-200, served nine years in the Army before entering into the mental health field. She is an EMDR consultant, certified EMDR and PC therapist, registered yoga teacher, and certified integrative mental health professional. She has been a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation since 2012, and more recently began an experiential Karma Teacher Training program with Dr. John Wyrick of Nirodha Karma Healing. She currently offers telehealth intensives in CA and NC and in-person intensives in CA and NC on a case-by-case basis.

Jennifer Marchand, CCC

Jennifer Marchand, CCC, is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator, EMDR Consultant, and is trained in PC.  She has worked in a diverse range of international settings and cultural contexts as a clinician, consultant, and trainer.

Annie J. Monaco, LCSW-R

Annie Monaco, LCSW, RPT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in practice in Buffalo, NY, a  Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy and a faculty member of University at Buffalo School of Social Work. She is the Chair of the EMDRIA Child/Adolescent Special Interest Group. She is certified in EMDR therapy, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, an EMDR therapy trainer and a faculty member of the Child Trauma Institute.  Annie travels throughout the US and internationally providing a multitude of trauma-informed trainings and agency and therapist consultation. She has extensive training in complex trauma, family therapy, play therapy, restorative justice almost 30 years serving children, teens, families and adults. Her private practice includes a multitude of behaviors and issues including foster care, out of country adoptions, juvenile justice and dissociation and is contributing author and co-editor of the upcoming book EMDR with Children in the Play Therapy Room: An Integrated Approach.

Laura Ott

Laura Ott, LSCW, PMH-C, is a clinical social worker who owns a private group practice in Western New York. Laura is certified in Progressive Counting through TICTI and EMDR through EMDRIA. She provides consultation for both modalities, as well as assists with training. She has over a decade of experience providing trauma resolution therapies to all ages within outpatient settings, schools, hospitals, and residential centers. She currently works with primarily adults. Laura has advanced training and experience with Perinatal Mental Health treatment and attachment.

Lisa

Lisa Prefontaine, LMHC, is an EMDR certified clinician, consultant, and online trainer through EMDRIA. After being in practice for over 20 years, other therapeutic specialties include DBT, Co-occurring disorders, Perinatal disorders, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Ego State/Parts work, Crisis Management/Suicidality, Complex Trauma, and Brainspotting. Lisa has primarily worked with an adult population and has inpatient experience with adolescents and children. Lisa was Clinical Director of Mental Health Services for 5 years at Horizon Health Services prior to leaving to provide full time private practice and consultation services. She serves as an adjuct faculty member for Medaille College and University of Buffalo’s Mental Health Counseling Graduate Programs.

Nicole Rizzo-Wolasz, LCSW-R

Nicole Rizzo-Wolasz, LCSW-R, has been working with youth & families since 1997.  She is currently in private practice in Buffalo, NY, specializing in trauma-exposed children, adolescents, and adults.  Nicole has had supervisory roles at area agencies, and provides trainings on Bullying Prevention, Supervision & Trauma, Anger Management, and Peacemaking Circles in schools. In 2008, Nicole was awarded the Field Educator of the Year by the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. In 2009, Nicole was recognized by the YWCA for her leadership in the area of social work.  Nicole is a PC consultant and instructor, and an EMDR consultant.

Rahel

Rahel Schwartz, PhD, LCSW-C, SEP, is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in the DC Metro area. She specializes in working with people who have experienced trauma, pain and chronic health issues. She was the clinical director of a nonprofit that served survivors of IPV for over 10 years. She received the Henry Gleim award from the state of Maryland for providing services to victims of crime and those that serve them. She enjoys nurturing new therapists and working with seasoned clinicians to deepen their practice.  Rahel is a somatic experiencing practitioner and an EMDRIA approved EMDR consultant and trainer.

Karan Turnquist

Karan Turnquist, LCSW, RPT-S, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice and the founder of Mindful State Therapy Services, PLLC, based in Westfield, NY. She is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S) through the Association for Play Therapy and provides supervision and approved continuing education in play therapy. Karan is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant, an EMDR Basic Trainer, and a Consultant in Progressive Counting (PC), offering trauma-informed training and consultation to clinicians across settings.

Her specialties include infant mental health, early childhood development, child and family trauma, attachment-based treatment, and integrative approaches for adult survivors. She provides both in-person and remote therapy and consultation and leads trainings on trauma-informed care, EMDR, Progressive Counting, and play therapy integration.

Karan’s work emphasizes the intersection of mindfulness, somatic awareness, EMDR, and play, supporting healing through connection, regulation, and presence.
